
What is the lipid panel?
When we talk about cholesterol, we are usually referring to the lipid panel. It’s a routine screening test starting at 50 yrs of age for women (and 40 yrs for men). The panel consists of 4 biomarkers that examine fats and fatty substances in your blood.
